[mythtv-users] Transcoding Nuv Files to Other Formats

Hello.  I was thinking about trying to develop some type of simple PHP page
so I could go in and transcode a select show from .nuv format into xvid or
divx or something else.  I have heard about nuvexport and the console modes
of ffmpeg and mplayer and so on but could some one give me some tips on what
the best way to transcode a nuv file is?  Right now, I do all my transcoding
by hand using avidemux which is OK but I would rather have it look at the
database and figure out where the commercials are in and cut them out.  How
are people transcoding their files?  Thanks.
