I think we are referring to different OPs :).  Such a patch may be 
considered if someone were to provide one.  The other idea proposed 
about immediate deletion of LiveTV recordings on exit will not as it has 
already been discussed to death.  This issue of long blocks of 
uninterrupted guide information creating large LiveTV recordings is the 
first I have heard of it discussed in this context.
