XvMC VIA

I'm using the driver that is distributed with the Xorg code. I'm not
using Xorg 7.0, but its still reasonably recent (6.8.99). All compiled
from scratch using a Gentoo ebuild

I'm also using the DRM module for Via that comes with 2.15.1 of the
Linux kernel. AFAIK DRI for via was not supported in the kernel tree
before 2.6.13, so you should check that you have this. Without DRI,
XvMC won't work. Make sure that you have via_agp, drm and via modules
loaded by using the lsmod command.

Yes

bitrate=0 kb/s doesn't sound good does it ? I'm not at home at the
moment, but when I get a chance I'll see what sort of output I get
when I play a file with XvMC VIA turned on.
