I case anyone is interested, I fixed my no sound on the second tuner
problem.....

I had to install ivtv 0.4.0...

Now, my question is, does this look like an ivtv problem, in that the later,
ie newer versions don't seem to work correctly with two hauppauge 150's
installed ???

Who do I report the 'fault' to ???

Thanks to all that helped.
