it's the nuv container, get a non-processed mpeg2 file out of MythTV
(ie don't transcode it, though you can use the mpeg2 lossless cutting
feature)..

it all depends on the filter your using. Each frame progression format
will have a different filter combination to make it work properly. As
well, many HD stations are using really strange frame ordering that no
current filter can properly process to 24fps video to which you would
have to encode each frame in conversions.

I install with Kanotix and use the regular Debian repositories for updates.

backup your database, the transition isn't always smooth.
