[mythtv-users] Myth Frontend on Fedora doesn't start, could it be cdrecord?

I didn't think of uninstalling cdrecord. What would I do for that, "yum
remove cdrecord" or something like that?

I did have the cdrecording disabled in the frontend and still had the
problems with it locking up. What I have done at this point to fix it, is
sort of a hack, but it seems to be working so far. I replaced the cdrecord
file with a bash script that does nothing. So when the frontend calls the
cdrecord program, nothing is done, and it continues on into the frontend. I
wasn't sure if this would work, or if it would cause problems for Mythtv,
but it looks like it is working.

And thanks for the suggestion on turning on udev logging. I will look into
how to do that. So far I have rebooted twice since the cdrecord replacement
and haven't seen the lockup, but it is too early to tell. It is possible
that the cdrecord was my issue there also.
