   Ooh, yes thanks, I will.

   Do I just ... install the RPMs?  Will that override the kernel modules
(update modprobe.conf, etc.) automatically, or is there a set of instructions
I need to follow?

   I assume it hasn't got any of the ivtv modules [as they're in the ivtv-kmdl
RPM]?

   Ouch, that was a near total disaster!  I downloaded the v4l kmdl from 
above, gave it a cursory check (-q -scripts), and installed it.

   That broke both my Nova-T and my stable PVR-350 [ivtv] :-(  There're 
clashes and name problems galore.  These seem to be the same errors that are 
popping out of FC5/2.6.16?

   I tried reinstalling the ivtv kmdl, and that at least got my PVR0350 
working again, but rewinding the video4linux RPM *hasn't* got my DVB back.  It 
looks as if there are file clashes between the ivtv & v4l RPMs, and I can't 
say which were active previously.  I'm currently running with v4l installed, 
then ivtv over that as that seesm to let my PVR-350 work.

   I *did* take the opportunity up upgrade myth a couple of points at the same 
time, and ivtv-proper moved from 0.4.2 to 0.4.4 by the looks of things, but 
diffing the rpm pkglog from before the update and now, the ivtv & v4l kmdls 
are supposed to be the same.

   So, any ideas?  Have I just done something daft?  As it stands, my DVB card 
is now inoperable, and I can't get into LiveTV [not a big issue, short term] 
as if fails to access that card.
