For it to work without any symlinks myfolder should be
myfolder=/var/www/localhost/htdocs/mythwebburn/modules/mythburn/mythburnscripts

I put my mythburn.conf on the gentoo forum page if anyone wants to see my settings.
And eventually I plan modify the ebuild to fill in these details automatically.
