I did the same thing when I first built my Myth system. However, I ran
into some problems where I was seeing really slow delete times and getting
some corruption in recordings. I remember seeing somewhere that it said you
WILL see corruption in recordings if you use reiserfs v3 (which is what I
was using). So I switched to JFS. (Turns out the corrupted recording
problem was unrelated to the fs). I avoided XFS because of the known
problems with XFS on a near-full fs. I've been very happy with JFS so far
and have yet to have a single problem since the switch.
