[mythtv-users] Recording from Svideo or composite inputs

Hi Greg

I found that same thread but never got to the point where it would
work - mythfrontend refuses to show a "tuner"input that has a default
channel that cannot be tuned to. I ended up making a fake EPG,
deciding to ignore the programs. My test-run failed, even though I
could see the output of my VCR / satellite receiver on Myth. Probably
a problem of the slave backend: I use a Hauppauge PVR350 in my
frontend machine and I wanted to setup a slave backend for this.

My next uncertainty was: How to hook it up?

My '350 came with a 9-pin micro-DIN to SCART (or Peritel). After a lot
of trying, that input (on the 9-pin port) is called Composite-4 (!).
So, be warned - if you do find a better way, the input could be called
Composite-4.

And, should you find a better way - I'd be interested.
