You have put your finger on the real problem: Content.

The only time I ever watched anything from the major US networks was
the CBS Evening News and sometimes 60 minutes.

Now they have gone and screwed up the Evening News pretty well, Katy
Couric ?? Come on. I could possibly see her as a "reader" (as the BBC
accurately calls them) but "Managing Editor"?? Get Real. The
successor to Murrow and Cronkite ? The battle between the
Entertainment and News divisions is over, and the loser is the viewer.

Hollywood's output in recent years sucks as well. If it isn't a re-
make or a sequel they won't even try, and they are never as good as
the original, Just Crap, with one or two notable exceptions that
prove the rule.

The days when people would watch whatever the "Big Three" (at the
time) chose to put out are over. I really can't see anyone willing to
pay money for "Desperate HouseActresses" or "Lust", in order to view
it on a 2" iPod screen, that's nuts.

As long as Myth can grab stuff off TCM, or even TVLand, I'll have
somehting to watch, but it won't be a recent production.

If they would put half the effort into producing something worth
watching as they do into "protecting" their crap we would have some
real art to record.
