in the FE, Setup -> Appearance.

On one of the pages, there
are options for changing the size of the GUI, and offsetting it.  So,
if you wanted your GUI to be 750x550 centered, set the sizes to 750/550,
and the X and Y offsets both to 25.

If you do that, be sure
that you do NOT select the option for making playback the same size as the
GUI (forget the option name.) or you'll just be scaling _everything_
