Currently I do something similar with nuvexport. If I go on vacation and
want a couple of recordings on my notebook, I export with nuvexport as
"nuv+sql". Usually I append the name of the movie to the filename of the nuv
file, so that I know which file is which movie without opening the .txt
file.
The nuv files are playable without the frontend on both Windows and Linux,
so that works fine for me, but an integrated solution would be nice.
Maybe the xml+nuv archive format from MythArchive could be used as "to-go"
format ?
