[mythtv-users] DataDirect problems?

As an update: my script to toss the unwanted channels is OK, but I'm seeing
another problem. Again, I can't tell if the problem is on the mythtv side,
or the DataDirect side.
Basically, I'm getting several channels that have different channel numbers
and frequency numbers (channum and freqid fields in the channels table of
the database don't match).
I've tracked part of the problem down to the output of DataDirect (by using
xmltv). DD sends several different descriptions, one of which is the
broadcast frequency (marked with 'fcc'). And sure enough, every channel that
is wrong has the broadcast frequency. Now, I can fix this, but some (but not
all) of the channels also have the wrong programming data.
I'm using the latest revision of mythtv out of SVN.
Any ideas/suggestions on how to, at the very least, get the right guide data
in the database?

----------------The truth about Smokey the Bear-----------------
The following letter to the editor appeared in the Boston Globe:
In a recent column Susan Trausch [Globe columnist] referred to
Smokey the Bear. It is true that Smokey the Bear deserves praise
for his campaign against forest fires. But nobody ever mentions
the boy scouts he kills for their hats.
