I'm not sure about the USB Lite, but the FusionHDTV 5
Gold USB requires the bluebird firmware in order to
work properly.

Install the kernel sources (if you haven't already) -
there's a script in there that will download the
firmware for you.  The script you're looking for is in
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/dvb/get_dvb_firmware. 
You'll invoke it something like "get_dvb_firmware
bluebird" - if it's the bluebird firmware that's
needed (which I'm not sure of).

Then place that firmware into your distributions
firmware directory for hotplugging, and the next time
you plug it in, it should be recognized and your
entries in /dev should be created.
