I'm running a newly installed 2.6.16-1.2096_FC4 system (though NForce3
Ultra/ALC850) and have SPDIF working fine, just by dropping in Mike
Dean's comprehensive asourndrc and configuring xine to Pass-Through.
Haven't tried analog yet, but would expect it to work too. Didn't have
to touch the mixer settings either which was surprising.

I am having udev wierdness with the 2.6.16 kernel and udev 0.71
however which is causing an undue amount of frustration...
