[mythtv-users] Video and Audio quality settings

A while ago, there was a posting that referred to a graph that
demonstrated the different picture qualities at different recording
sizes and bitrates. Specifically it showed that over a certain
bitrate, there wasn't any additional quality improvement you just got
a bigger file. Using that chart I adjusted my recording values and saw
an improvement in the image.

Now I am looking for some advice for sound. I have increased my sample
rate, and decrease my bitrate with little notable difference. Figuring
that more samples were better, but that I could lower the bitrate
since it was above cd quality anyways.

Anyone ever seen an analysis of sound quality at different sample and bit rates?
