[mythtv-users] no audio PVR-500

I just upgraded everything via AT rpms, so I am now at:

ivtv-0.6.2-110.rhfc5.at
kernel-2.6.16-1.2111_FC5smp
mythtv-0.19-128.rhfc5.at

Other sound applications work fine, and recordings made through the
PVR-500 before the upgrade play back with sound. But recordings made now
have no audio. This happens on both tuners, for both recordings and Live
TV. I am at my wits end. I have searched the archives, and there are
references to having to run ivtvctl, but that was for very old versions
of the drivers I believe, and I tried it anyway with no success. My
system is useless without the audio and the WAF is at zero (and will go
negative if we get a silent Dr. Who on Friday night )-:

Anybody have any ideas what I could look for? I have attached the ivtv
part of the dmesg output.

I don't want to blame AT rpms for this, because I have also had to
restore my system from backup after my attempt to install Windows so
that I could run Powerstrip destroyed my whole system. My only
alternative if I cannot fix this problem will be a complete reinstall
from scratch, and I really did have other plans for this weekend )-:
