I had a similar idea,  thinking that it would be nice if such a disc would
result in a menu like the 'Watch Recordings' display, somewhat like a
program group.  What would be especially slick would be to make it work with
the current theme.

Now I come to think of it,  it could be done exactly like this.  Have a
(big) chunk of code which is triggered by the disc load, that uses the  XML
to build some entries in the database that represent a group of programs
that are actually stored on the mounted disc.

My problem is that I always want to run before I can walk.  I haven't go
around to archiving shows yet, let alone having a slick way of viewing them!
