[mythtv-users] Terrible drive performance on frontend

I rebuilt a machine using FC5 on four drives of the exact same type. The
drives are setup as two LVMs. I use the second LVM as a nightly backup
of the first using rsync (poor man's mirror in a way...)
Anyway, when playing Recordings the playback is choppy. I used to run
FC3 on this system with different drives and never had issues. Upon
further review I found the following:

I am using 80 pin cables and I've run the following command on all the
drives:
hdparm -u1 -c1 -d1 /dev/hda
Two things I've noticed when comparing the output above to other
machines:
AdvancedPM=no
Drive conforms to: Unspecified:
Why would the system not recognize what the drives conform to?
Any suggestions with this?
Thanks,
James
