As a note as far as troubleshooting, I noted a bug on the issue of
mythfrontend crashing here http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/2302.  It seems
that the solution to this problem is to disable DRI for ATI video cards...
I don't think that issue is related as I am using PVR-350 for the TV out.
