Is your remote control using /dev/input instead of /dev/lirc? What
does your ivtv and lirc output say when these drivers are loaded?

It appears that the remote is on /dev/input and not /dev/lirc. Thanks for that tip. The weird thing now is that after I have changed my sysconfig to /dev/input I can't get any button presses to work in Myth. Before, when is was wrong I could press the numeric buttons and they would be recognized.
How can I see the output from ivtv and lirc that asked about?
