[mythtv-users] writeStringList: Error, socket went unconnected

I'm getting the following error when attempting to watch live tv or record
anything.  I though it was a problem with the database so I dropped the
database and started fresh with a brand new install and I still get the same
problem...

This shows up in the mythbackend.log when I attempt to play live TV through
my firewire tuner card:

writeStringList: Error, socket went unconnected

Anyone know why this would occur?  Any help would be much appreciated, I'm
pretty much dead in the water for now.
