 Unfortunately (just like last time this subject came up) until someone who
is experiencing this kind of channel change lag tracks it down it isn't gonna
be "fixed" anytime soon. Since you are seeing that insanely huge lag you 
are in a perfect spot to track it down.

 Most active devs A: don't use LiveTV much if at all, and B:don't experience
the problem themselves.

 My channel change time is close to 2 seconds, even on remote frontends.
