[mythtv-users] Bad Analog Audio with Dvico FusionHDTV 5 Lite also snd-bt87x?

I've got Myth 0.20 running in a clean install of
Kubuntu Edgy. It took some tweaking, but I managed to
get my analog audio working after muting the CD output
in alsamixer, which had been unmuting it with every
restart. Trouble is, the sound stinks. It's
unlistenable, riddled with horrid digital distortion.
So firstly, is there anything I can do to fix this?
I've tried changing the sample rate in myth-setup
without luck. Is there another way to fix this? BTW,
I'm using the on-board VIA V8237 for this.

However, I am interested in what I thought was also
available, the BT878 audio capture device that is
apparently detected in my lspci and dmesg output. The
snd-bt87x module wasn't automatically loading, and
after loading (and adding it to my /etc/modules file)
it still is not creating its own pcm device
(/dev/dsp1). I noticed alsa is recognizing a bt878
device in its asound.state file, but I'm not sure this
is because of the module or the card.

Just for reference, I've blacklisted bttv and bt878 in
/etc/modprobe.d and added snd-bt87x load_all=1 and
dvb-bt8xx to /etc/modules.

Thanks
