[mythtv-users] mythtv, screensavers and xine

I noticed the other day something about myth (I'm running svn -fixes)
supports xscreensaver and thought that was really cool. Installed it,
started it automatically when the window manager comes up, and myth
seems to do the right thing.

Then I proceeded to fire up a movie (DVD iso), for which I use xine,
and after a while, the screensaver came on!

I've been poking around a bit, and can't seem to see anywhere within
xine where I can tell it to turn off the screensaver.

Other than creating a shell-script (that calls xscreensaver-command -
stop and then xine, then xscreensaver-command start when it's done),
is there another way to disable the screensaver?

I'm a bit surprised that xine doesn't handle this directly, or that
mythtv doesn't disable the screensaver, regardless whether the
internal or some external movie player is used...

Thoughts?

jan
