[mythtv-users] Inputting a bad channel leads to problems

I just accidentally tried to change the channel, while watching live  
TV, to 1. There is no channel 1 in my cable network, so what seems to  
happen is that Myth tries to change to that channel (using the  
'channel' program over serial; DCT-2000 cable box), fails three  
times, and then drops back to the UI. Now every time I try to watch  
live TV, I get stuck in that loop and can't actually feed it a valid  
channel to change to. Even if I change the channel manually on the  
cable box, when I go to watch live TV, Myth just keeps trying to set  
the channel to 1. Help?
