Some people go for the multiplex-recording approach (advertised in some
form here, lately), see
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Record_multiple_channels_from_one_multiplex.
This way I will only need one tuner card in my simple and wimpy VIA
SP8000 box for viewing and recording all three FTA public Dutch TV channels.
