For one, your running the wrong version of ivtv if you have 0.7.0, thats 
for 2.6.17.

0.6.x is for kernels 2.6.16, and 0.8.x is for 2.6.18.... Everything else 
is 0.4.x Its like this because its getting integrated into the kernel.
