Hey all... finally getting around to upgrading my 0.19 mythbox to
0.20. I've got a 1GHz Athlon with video card:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV31 [GeForce FX 5600] (rev a1)
Whenever mythtvsetup or mythfrontend *quits*, X crashes. I
managed to get the tail end of /var/log/Xlog and this is what it barfs on:
(**) Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
(**) Keyboard0: XkbModel: "pc105"
(**) Option "XkbLayout" "us"
(**) Keyboard0: XkbLayout: "us"
(**) Option "CustomKeycodes" "off"
(**) Keyboard0: CustomKeycodes disabled
(II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Keyboard0" (type: KEYBOARD)
(II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Mouse0" (type: MOUSE)
(II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "NVIDIA Event Handler" (type:
Other)
(II) Mouse0: ps2EnableDataReporting: succeeded

Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting
The install is barebones FC5 using atrpms and Jarod's guide. Is
this a known issue, or flakiness on my motherboard?
Oh, and the crash happens whether or not I select Qt or OpenGL in
the frontend setup. If I select Qt, it appears to work (other than the
crashing). If I select OpenGL, it seems like it's working (i.e. hitting
ESC gives a "Sure you want to quit" dialog), but all I can see is a black
screen.
