I'd go for the latest SVN sources.

I've created my own little script that calls configure with my options,
so that I don't have to remember them everytime I compile MythTV.

Just make sure that you save a copy of the last working version in case
the latest one doesn't compile or doesn't work for whatever reason (that
hasn't happened to me, yet, though).

It's really easy...
