I might be completely missing something here, but don't multiple inputs 
on your TV make this a non-issue? In my case, I have a Cox Digital Cable 
DVR on input 1, my Myth box on input 2, my DVD changer on input 3, and 
input 4 shares whatever game console I'm using at the time or the 
camcorder feed. All I have to do to switch between things is to change 
the TV input with my remote... no need to run a game console through a 
tuner input...
