[mythtv-users] NTP drift...

Thanks for the response! To be more specific about my problem, Mike, the
beginning of a show appears to be cut off, but it's entirely possible that I
just need to start the recording off early or finish late where appropriate.
My only concern is that that will cut into recording shows that either
precede or follow a show's time slot.

An additional piece of information: I have noticed that the hardware clock
has gone wacky a few times. Like reset the date to some time in the 80's
wacky. It seems to be all right now after doing a hwclock --systohc, but I
don't know if there are any more problems there, and if so what can be done
to correct them.

Below are the ntp drift file and output of ntpq -p:

mythtv at bombadil:~$ more /var/lib/ntp/ntp.drift
-500.000
mythtv at bombadil:~$ ntpq -p

I'm not certain what tickadj does (doing man tickadj just brings up ntp).
Will that help me? Thanks again for all your help!

Jack.
