Try turning off Enable AC3 to APDIF passthrough. This fixed my audio
clicks problem.

Did you run mythtv-setup after you upgraded? It would be helpful to
launch the frontend from the command-line so when it crashes you can
see why it crashed.

I did run Mythtv-setup... and here's the output from mythfrontend...

2006-10-21 19:48:41.841 MythThemedMenuPrivate: Couldn't read menu file 
dvd_settings.xml
Segmentation fault

Based on the output, I'd suspect that I'm missing an xml file from 
/usr/share/mythtv... so I've downloaded the plugin source, and copied those 
files over...
