The author recently posted an updated version of the "Remote Remote
GH" application. Check it out here:

http://web.mac.com/grhowes/iWeb/Generally%20Helpful%20Software/Remote%20Remote%20GH.html

What it is: A Mac OS X application that uses the TCP socket control
interface added in 0.19 to provide remote control functions for
MythTV. It's a nice supplement to a normal IR remote, providing
some features not easily done via IR remote, such as:

- Provides a list of recordings, allowing viewing of any recording via
a quick mouse click.
- It has a slider on the GUI, which allows you to go right to any
point in the recording.
- Provides pass-through of any keypress, for full control of the
frontend. Great for those functions not mapped to your IR remote.

Some changes in the new version:

   1. Better support for MythTV 0.20 DVD player
   2. Tables do not gobble up arrow keys.
   3. More reliable on Intel boxes.
   4. New channel widget for quick channel changes.

A couple other notes:
- To use this, you must enable the network control option in the
mythtv setup menus in version 0.19 or newer.
- This application runs on a Mac OS system, but can control a Linux
frontend, Mac frontend, or any other 0.19+ frontend that has network
control enabled.
