[mythtv-users] IR blaster question

Greetings

I've successfully used a multi LED IR blaster to control my TV (turn it
on/off) my settop box (change channel and ensure its not muted) and an old
stereo amp (turn it on/off) but I can't seem to get it to talk to my new
theatre amp.

The old amp used a Sony RM-V70 remote - which worked fine. The new one
uses a  RM-AAP013 remote and although I've captured codes using irrecord
(and I can consistantly see them OK when I check them with irw) the IR
blaster just does nothing to/for the amp at all. I can't turn it on/off,
change from analog to S/PDIF, nothing :-(

Anyone any ideas as to what is going on? I guess the final test will be to
use a 'scope on the IR detector and compare the IR blaster & remote
control waveforms in case its lirc not capturing it accurately. Thats a
long job to set up (cables to make/modify) hence asking here first...
