[mythtv-users] S3 Unichrome at 1360x768?

With my TV, I used the xorg output as my modeline for 1360x768 and it
works. So, yes, it seems it is a suggested modeline to use.

Subject: [mythtv-users] S3 Unichrome at 1360x768?

I have a Biostar mainboard with built in S3 Unichrome graphics.
According to xorg log, this is KN400/KM400 chip.

My TV is Sony Bravia 32S2000, which supports VGA input of 1360x768
maximum. Indeed, using NVidia 4MX on Fedora Core 4, I could display the
desktop in such resolution without any problem. I did not even need to
add a modeline.

With Unichrome I could obtain just 1024x768. I therefore created a
custom modeline for 1360x768 with gtf:

# 1360x768 @ 60.00 Hz (GTF) hsync: 47.70 kHz; pclk: 84.72 MHz
Modeline "1360x768" 84.72 1360 1424 1568 1776 768 769 772 795 -HSync
+Vsync

BTW, hsync given by gtf is exactly what the TV manual says hsync should
be.

When I start X, I get following messages, which I believe refer to
setting the screen:
