[mythtv-users] Problem with LiveTV Playback

List & Matthias,

I have made some progress now. Im my xorg.conf, I commented out the
following line:
# Option "OldDmaInit" "True"

I now get video! But now audio is still not working. A cat /dev/video0 >
blah.mpg returns video, but no audio. Audio does work in ubuntu.

I've tried to get IVTV drivers to work, but I think that’s the portion I'm
having difficulty with. I followed the instructions on:
http://s91928265.onlinehome.us/hfamily/mythtv/myth_ubuntu.html

I have 2 PVR-250's, but I am only trying to get 1 to work in MythTV at this
time. /dev/video1 does not have audio either.

I'm sure it has to do with this line (at least pretty sure):
[17179587.756000] ivtv0: Failed to load module msp3400

But I am unsure as to how to fix it. I've done some searching and tried
somethings, but it doesn’t seem to make the msp3400*.ko.

Below is my dmesg output for IVTV.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

you should try and find out what driver has been used in your Sarge Setup.
Maybe with a different driver you get better results.

The "color key color" message, I do get it when I try to use xv; then I get
a full color black, or green, or purple screen and sound.
