[mythtv-users] Installing MythTV SVN on Fedora Core

Hi.   I want to install the svn version to learn more about the 
software.   The wiki

says to  first unistall all of the existing mythtv rpms.   I have a 
fairly stable system right now, and don't want the family to get upset.  
Can I just disable the mythbackend service from starting and start the 
appropriate mythfrontend?   I get a feeling that there's something in 
the paths that I'm not considering.
