Having glx extension loaded doesn't necessarily mean that nvidia
opengl acceleration is being used. In gentoo, for example, you need to
execute "eselect opengl set nvidia" to tell X to use nvidia opengl
acceleration (otherwise it uses opengl drawing provided by mesa-gl
libraries). Not sure what commands are for other distros.
