I'm taking a stab at getting mythtv up so I can copy some programs from
my tivo box.
I'm running Ubuntu Dapper 2.6.15-26-386 with MySQL 5.0.22, PVR-350
capture card, 1GB RAM, AMD CPU that the device manager can't
recognize(!) . After/during the 'mythtv-setup' I see the following:
DB Error (Inserting into dd_schedule):
INSERT INTO dd_schedule
Driver error was [2/1064]:
QMYSQL3: Unable to execute query
Database error was:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds

Going into the mythconverg database and show tables (in part):
credits
dtv_multiplex
dtv_privatetypes
dvb_channel
dvb_pids
dvb_sat
dvb_signal_quality
dvdinput
dvdtranscode
favorites
filemarkup
A total of 62 tables returned.
I had followed the instructions from mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO.
I did have an issue with the nvidia driver :
sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx linux-restricted-modules-686
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
E: Couldn't find package nvidia-glx-config
The actual card I have:
NV11DDR [GeForce2 MX 100 DDR/200
(Never had planned on gaming or anything like this but it should work,
After this I set the driver section to nvidia, but the reboot failed to
start X, so I had to change back.
So following the advice from
root at rotor:/etc/X11# md5sum /etc/X11/xorg.conf | tee
root at rotor:/etc/X11# nvidia-glx-config enable
-bash: nvidia-glx-config: command not found
Got out of X and did the md5sum bit, but again on reboot no X, so I
restored the xorg.conf. Must not be the proper driver for the low end
card is my guess.
So if this video card setup is ok, then I'm back to the missing table on
the setup as far as I can see.
Any ideas on where to go from here?
