I've seen some buggy versions of netdump with this problem - easily resolved
by hardcoding the mac address of the other machine in /etc/sysconfig/netdump
(on redhat) with the SYSLOGMACADDR parameter.  Just make sure syslog on your
remote machine will accept messages from other machines and that it is
running.
