I fully accept the PVR-350 comments made by Ian and apologise for not
presenting a more balanced opinion on the current state of support (my
experiences are from last year using the 0.18 release.

Does this waning support affect running a proper X session on the
350's driver and not just running a regular X session on your video
card and then just using the PVR-350's decoder for LiveTV and
recordings?

To get the best possible output video from your system, you need to
highest quality input video (the GIGO principle). How are you getting
you video into your PVR cards? Are you using a suitably high bitrate
for your MPEG2 recordings?

Component is I think possible with NVidia cards for SDTV (see
http://mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/ComponentOut for pointers) but I
can't say how much difference you can expect to see when compored to
S-Video output.

Cheers,
Nick
