I was, I traced it to bad disk performance from my two raptor hard
drives connected to jmicron controller, a hard reset cured that, I
think becuase NCQ was not previously supported and I had upgraded the
kernel remotely and only done a soft reboot the raptor drives were not
fully reset.

Very strange...
