[mythtv-users] Colored bars with crop filter and ATI proprietary driver

Hi,

I'm trying to use the crop filter to filter out black bars on the left side
of the captured picture. However, when I use it I get yellow and white
striped bars rather than black bars. I am using the ATI Proprietary driver
version 8.27.10 (8.28.8 is broken with XV and newer xorg). I had to define
the USE_ATI_PROPRIETARY hack in videoout_xv.cpp to get rid of blue faces,
and am not sure if the filter's black bars do something different that
screws with the color map. I have been advised to change the xvcolorkey
setting but am not sure how to go about doing that, or if that is even the
problem.

For example, when trying to change the color key:

mythtv at htpc:~$ xvattr -a XV_COLORKEY -v 0

Has anyone else experienced this, or know any work around?
