That's the OEM bundle.  Includes a Microsoft MCE remote, receiver and
blaster.  The "box" is the IR receiver, and the 1/8" cable is the
"blaster" cable to control things like cable boxes, satellite boxes,
etc...

I have mine (receiver) working fine, let me know if you need any config
files.
