Its the value to you (or not) that will guide your decision - I need it - its worth a few bucks to me, so I put my money in.
Its a nice side effect that the code when its released should benefit the rest of the community.
If businesses make a buck off it too - all power to them.

I don't care about features that don't benefit me and I do care about
features that do. Funny how that works. :)
