$#!&$#*  When I upgraded the machine, the /video directory became owned 
by root.  The "mythtv" user didn't have write permissions to the 
directory.  ugh.

However, I am still getting that odd "ChannelBase" error, but it doesn't 
seem to be impacting anything.
