Please, I really need your help in finding a way to avoid using openGL and
Mesa while running MythTV.
Is there a way of compiling and running MythTV without openGL?
I have the same problem as submitted yesterday:
I'm trying to build/install MythTV 0.20 on a MIPS based machine.
On my MIPS machine I have installed:
I DO NOT have Mesa nor OpenGL installed on my MIPS machine.
Following this thread:
I've removed libmythui from <http://libs.pro/>
libs.pro <http://libs.pro/> *and* mythuitest from programs.pro
But the build fails (when trying to build mythtv application) due to
undefined references to libmythui.
Do I HAVE to install Mesa or OpenGL in order for mythtv to compile? Is there
a way to bypass this dependency???
Thanks a lot!

No experience here... But can't you just install the dependencies, and
compile anyway? You don't HAVE to use OpenGL even if it's there, there are
options to turn it off.
[Hagit Guy] How? What are the options I should use in order to turn it off?
It is very heavy for my machine to install openGL and I wanted to avoid it..
