I have never blacklisted a module, but after googling, I am guessing I
just need to edit the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist file to include these
two lines:
blacklist firewire_core
blacklist firewire_ohci
and then reboot the system. Is this correct, or am I off on the syntax?
And thanks for testing and confirming. It is nice to know I am likely
to have a functional firewire capture again, and less than 24 hours
after I begged for help.
